Gilgamesh crossed the Waters of Death in a boat so I made some paper boats and videoed them sinking slowly in the pond. Then I discovered porcelein paper and made some porcelein boats. These then became the basis for these boats, made on the 3D printer. The programme couldn't destinguish between highlights on the porcelien surface and holes. It also created struts to keep the shape firm during printing. In creating them, the printer destroyed their form.
